Spacious suite, prime location in New Westminster

Our spacious 750+sf garden suite is in a prime location in New Westminster, a city with history and character. Vancouver is 30-45 minutes by car or transit. Perfect if you are vacationing, travelling through or on business. Walk 1 block to dozens of restaurants, stores and transit. Clean, comfortable and great amenities. Well equipped kitchen, cable, high end mattress, fast internet and heated bathroom floor. Our suite works well for couples, a group of friends, families or individuals. Thanks for looking at our listing! •On vacation, travelling through or on business, we are in a prime location, with a clean, comfortable private space with great amenities. •Access to strong wireless internet (40-100 Mbs download) •32 inch tv with Apple TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime accounts, or access your own services! Kitchen •A well equipped kitchen with full size fridge, stove and microwave. We've also loaded it with the cooking basics, spices, cooking oil, salt, pepper, etc. The Beds •The space is a studio, with separate bathroom and kitchen. •Queen bed with brand new pillow top mattress. •Sofa bed with a double mattress. •Single mattress that tucks into the nook under the stairs can be provided. Old House - As this is an older house (built in 1923) you will likely hear us upstairs when we are home, getting ready for work/school, and in the early evening. Keep this in mind if you are looking for a very quiet place. You have a private entrance to your suite. We live upstairs in the main part of the house, and are usually at work during the day Monday through Friday. You are able to enjoy the back yard, and we will sometimes be there too, gardening. We have quite a bit going on any given day, but we look forward to meeting you and helping you out with whatever you need when we can. We'll be home most nights, and most weekends. We also are happy to give you your privacy. Because we are above you, and it is an older house, you will likely hear us walking around upstairs, but we do our best to keep it quiet. Dining •Restaurants 2 blocks away include Ethiopian, Vietnamese, Mexican as well as Diners and your regular range of Starbucks, Tim Hortons and Dairy Queen. All just a few minutes away. •One block away from River's Reach Pub, which has a must-visit happy hour for 1/2 price appetizers and a boutique liquor store. Interesting Places •Queens Park, Moody Park, Canada Games Pool and the ultra swanky Queens Park neighbourhood. •Hollywood filming locations include Evil Queen Regina’s house from "Once Upon a Time". •The New Westminster Quay - wonderful waterfront shopping and restaurants. You'll find five restaurants, as well as a bakery, tea shop, flower shop as well as special events going on many days. They also have a circus school, which is fun to watch, or join a drop in class. •Columbia Street is unique - more restaurants, historic buildings, a comedy club, wedding shops, coffee shops. •Movie theatre with 10 screens and stadium seating, as well as another bunch of restaurants including The Spud Shack, a great place to sample traditional and creative poutine creations at the New Westminster Skytrain Station Groceries: •The neighbourhood favourite is the Uptown Market, but also nearby is Buy Low, SaveOn and Walmart. •Looking for bulk? Gallaways has a great selection and great prices. Nearby •We're just a few blocks away from the public library •Close to Douglas College, and a short drive to the Justice Institute Local Craft Beer and Wine •Within walking distance - Steel and Oak Brewing and Pacific Breeze Winery where you can enjoy local craft beer and wine. •We can loan you a growler to fill up at the brewery! •Parking: Free street parking is not a problem. We have a spot for your car close to the suite as well. •Transit - The number 106 bus is on 6th Street. The 124 bus is on 8th Street. As we are on 7th Street, you are only a block away from two frequent buses that will bring you straight to the skytrain (or walk there in 11 minutes). •The Skytrain will get to Vancouver, Surrey, SFU in Burnaby - very convenient. We will also have information on how to use the new Compass Pass, if you are unfamiliar with how it works. •If you are driving, we are easy to get to from Highway 1 (10 minutes) and you are able to quickly get to Kingsway or Canada Way from our house. We are often able to stow your bags if you check out, but are in the area. If you are taking a cruise, this is a good location. The Skytrain will bring you straight to the cruise terminal.
